Updated forms means some of the original forms redone, yes. Besides these, they put a tick against whichever documents are needed in your case from a long printed generic list. That list has documents like proof of relatives, or English test, or proof of funds, updated police certs etc. If they have doubts about anything or if anything is missing from your originally sent documents, they give you a chance to provide them with those at this stage. I hope that clarifies it somewhat.

OK thanks. No issue if they need more financial data or proof of relatives etc. I started a job mid last year and idealy don't want to request a reference thereby notifying them I intend to emigrate and leave their employ - if visa app doesn't work out I'd like to have a decent employment situation here!

Whole CIC thing couldn't really be worse administered, have some very luke warm days about going at all, fed up with being asked by relatives about it.

I don't think they will ask you to provide new job references if your original documentation was well presented. I can understand your frustration. I hope things work out well for you. And fast!
Best,

Not sure I should be posting in this thread as my AOR is August 2010 and we have a thread of our own, but I have to wholeheartedly agree with the above statement, so couldn't resist to add a comment.

Good luck to all of us long suffering MI 1 applicants. Not forgetting of course those pre MI 1 applicants (2008) that are still hanging on in there!

We've been asked for exactly the same. No med requests though. From your signature line, I assume you had med requests as well as these updated form requests?

A bit strange this one - we got two letters - same checklist of documents, but one said medicals, one said not.

I've contacted CiC to find out which is correct. I'm currently in their 28 days to respond since i just got back from Toronto.

For now, i've left the medical request as is in my sig as it's the first letter i got. If it changes, i'll update it.

Did you get the statement stating it will take another 4 months to process the documents?

MS.

Thanks for the reply, yours does sound a strange situation, we're looking forward to finding out how it gets resolved!

We didn't get any statement about another 4 months to process the docs.

Oh that bit! Yeah, I see that bit, I just assumed that was normal. We're not in any great rush, so that's OK with us, just so long as they do actually process them sometime! :-)

Now you have started me off wondering why it is so? Anyone else with 90 days instead of the usual 60? I guess it might be because I have been sent a request for everything clubbed together?
Hiya,
We got 60 days to respond, in our recent med requests. Also got asked for Photos, RPRF draft and updated police checks, that's it.

Congrats for the med request and good luck!

Katie

Great news yet again .. hope the future formalities will now only be a matter of little time to work out.

Couldn't help but notice your Sep AOR .. many Aug AOR's are still waiting for MR's .. what happened to CIC's claims of processing in order of receiving Long Live Maple Leaf!
