Congratulations. Did Sheffield ring you or the wife? 60 days isn't too bad. I believe that the statistics will be updated again for October showing an improvement so they can cover their own backs.

I see my case as being pretty straightforward as well - everything is there. Should be processed within the 1-2 hours and hoping they just get that vignette added in to the passport!

I saw that a few weeks ago - doesn't tell us anything new that we don't already know about.

Not necessarily it is an assumption.

You can assume they can call any government agency but to be directly linked to HMRC for the purposes of checking income and tax I would be surprised.

If the latter was true, they wouldn't even need any financial information and can just go off the authenticity of a self assessment records for anybody enrolled on self assessment.

Even I’ve not received visa yet. Applied from India in December 2016. Do update if you hear anything from HO.

Totally agree with you. But we are helpless. Can’t do anything apart from just sit and wait! We don’t have right to question them. 😖
