Enjoying The Driver on BBC iplayer
You'll probably need to start from the beginning though to get all the history.

The Driver looks good. Will have to check that out.

Watched episode 1 and 2 of Peaky Blinders last night. Very good show and both Sam Neil and Cillian Murphy are excellent in it.

Just to report, I finally connected up the NowTV box I got from the UK, and jumped through the hoops to register & connect it.
  • iPlayer works fine (HD even)
  • iTV Player has a regular, small, buffering & annoying ads - apparently it even buffers in the UK, but I don't care about them really
  • 4OD works fine, again with the annoying ads, but no buffer
  • Didn't bother with Demand5 yet
  • The NowTV/Sky TV bits haven't been tested yet, but I'm not paying for Murdoch's junk anyway
In order to set it up you need a UK card number (they use it to check UK address, so you have put it in even if you aren't going to give them money) and I went via a VPN to appear in the UK (not sure if needed, but probably). You then need a smartDNS and to change the router DNS settings - I'm going to work through the 9 different free trials, finding out which ones work, etc. and am adding it to a separate DHCP server

Will report back when completed further testing, but for watching the Beeb, Channel 4, etc. from the it seems OK for £10

Oh, and although it's a locked down Roku box, you can get Plex or a DLNA player on it as well, via a hack.

Garry, I use SmartyDNS and it works well, I used to use Unblock-us but some of those channels, 4OD in particular don't work with them and they don't appear to want to change this, so I switched.

It's on the list to try.

I started with Unotelly since they explicitly supported the NowTV box, but I'm hoping that GetFlix will also work when I get to them, since they are the cheapest !

I use Filmon here in Philippines. works well for all UK channels. you can stream live shows or set up record, then download at leisure. you get 10 hours on the free service, or can pay for more time. works just like our old Tivo cable box back in UK. Quality of downloads is fine.

Can confirm that GetFlix works with NowTV box. I use Unotelly myself but know someone who uses GetFlix with no problems.

I tried it 6-9 months ago and it lagged badly back then.

With iPlayer you need to get in there, they take stuff down pretty quick for some newer series.
