Help! US-UK Citizen- first time job hunting in the UK
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
I am a US-UK citizen. I was born in the UK during the 1970s and then moved to the US and grew up here since age 5. I hold a UK passport already (in addition to a US passport).
I want to work in the UK for 2-4 years - I have always wanted to be closer to my family in England and would love the adventure. So--- I am trying to get a transfer with my US company to an office in London. However, in the event that doesn't work out I'm looking at moving to the UK anyway and finding a new employer.
What are the implications are regarding healthcare, taxes, etc. since I have never lived in the UK as an adult? To alleviate this issue, is it better to focus on International branches of US companies? (I'm looking at big consulting firms, IBM, Accenture, etc) or does it matter since they are still based in the UK?

It might be a better idea to post this on the 'moving back to UK' forum.
