I look after lots of clients who work off shore so it will depend what you do ? And what company you work for ?

I am wondering if either of you could help me, I am researching the idea of getting work offshore (anywhere in the world) but don't have experience, do you have any suggestions on where to start?? Also, I am mid forties age and ex police officer (I did say I had no experience!!). Any help appreciated!

Thx, mrs-mop's husband!

With no experience or trade you are best looking at the service companies like Baker / Schlumberger / Stats etc - Better as well if you have a contact person in one of those type of companies that may be able to get you a boost in the door

Find out if T-BOSIET and MIST are required by the target client company and report back.

I hear it's a lot easier if you have a VISA already but of course you can't get the visa so easily without a job offer...

thanks for the reply! All companies (in Australia) require TBOSIET/BOSIET as a basic requirement for all offshore workers also only just this year CSTP(common safety training program) is also now a compulsary course you need to complete before going offshore, both courses are certified and I have completed both of them. I live in Perth and I am on a 175 visa which is classed as a permanent resident I work full time as a sous chef but would like the chance to work offshore and just need some help getting there
