Default Okanagan to Alberta

Hi Everyone

Hubby and I, plus two kids and a dog are living in Vernon, BC. We are originally from UK and have been in Canada for 3 years. The Okanagan is really beautiful, but there is not much in the way of jobs, so we are planning to head to Alberta later this year.

Have a great day

Hi. We took a trip last summer through the Okanagan and, yes, it was certainly a beautiful part of the world.

Which part of Alberta are you hoping to move to? We're in Cochrane, near Calgary. We moved from the UK just over three years ago too. We also have two children but have accumulated dogs since being here and now have 3!

All the best with your move.

We are toying with Red Deer or Edmonton. Paul has a job near Fort Mac so either would be OK. Just want to make sure there is enough to do in Red Deer in the winter.

To be honest, I'm not overly familiar with either. However, I've heard good things about Red Deer and its a big enough place that I'm sure there's plenty to do there. Perhaps contact Piff Poff; she lives in Red Deer so can probably tell you all you need to know.
