Hello,
I’m new to this forum!
Looking for peoples experiences who have lived in Australia for 4+ years and now have moved back to the UK. Would love to hear their genuine opinions on having done so.
I’m 29 years old, originally London born and bred until I left aged 24.
Boyfriend of 3 years, who I met here in Sydney Australia is desperate for us to move back this August to his town in Oxford, now we have been granted our Australian permanent residency.
I’m scared I won’t like it and will feel like I’ve made a big mistake, is that a common feeling and then all is resolved once a move/decision is made?
Thanks!

Welcome to BE. So you're returning to the UK with your Brit boyfriend. So glad to see that you both are British citizens and have no issues with visas.
I'm going to direct you to read and ask questions in the "Moving Back to the UK" forum. Those are the perfect folks to help you start out on the right foot with regard to benefits, etc. and what they went through when they returned home.
Whether they returned from living in Australia, the UK, Canada, or elsewhere, the experiences are virtually all the same.
Please have a read of the forum rules linked below and good luck with your move.
