I don't know about moving to the UK but your boyfriend can't move to the UK to be with you without a visa and there is no 'living with girlfriend' visa I'm afraid. Unless you can get an employer to sponsor you the only other route is marriage...unless of course he is a US citizen. Take a look at this it shows the various route to work and live in the US.
Please take time to take a look in the BE Wiki...it's a great source for information. Also please read through any stickied threads that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.
This is the link to BE's US Immigration and Visas forum...please post any questions you have about the actual immigration process/visa in that forum. If your boyfriend wishes to use the marriage route then the US Marriage Visa forum is the forum to ask immigration questions in. You will get lot of good advice from the regulars who post in there. General questions about life in the US should be posted in the US Forum. The Trailer Park is for general chit chat.
If you require any assistance finding your way around BE's many forums we have a team of concierges who will act as your tour guide...they will be pleased to help you. The concierge for the US forums is Kaffy Mintcake...please contact her if you need pointing in the right direction.
Any problems or concerns should be addressed to a mod or admin. The mods for the US Immigration forums are Noorah101, Bob, MsElui, avanutria and penguinsix.
Please give me a shout if I can be of further help. I look forward to seeing you in the US forums. Good luck.

Welcome to BE and good luck!
Read the wiki, lot of great info to go over the various options.
Though getting married and then getting visa over will be a lot simpler and cheaper in the long run if that's an option to you, presuming he can't get a work visa or any other visa on his own right
