Default moving to riberac

Hi all
I'm new to the site and looking for some advice and local knowledge. I'm moving to riberac in july with my husband and 2 girls aged 2 years and 5 years. Although I'm really excited I'm also worried that the girls will struggle settling in. Has anyone experience of children this age and any recommendations on the schools in riberac? Any advice in general would be greatly appreciated

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
I noticed your post in the Introduction Thread on the France forum - if you post this more detailed thread in the main body of the forum, you'll get lots of response from the locals or in general.
Don't worry about your daughters - they are young enough to integrate straight away. The elder one will go to the last year of Maternelle and will be well prepared to go up to Primary at 6 to learn to read and write in French and the younger one MAY be eligible for Maternelle in September depending on the availability of places in the school. You'll find that out when you enrol them at the Mairie upon your arrival.
Good luck with the move!

Hi TMW

Welcome to BE

Great to see you have already introduced yourself on the France forum. I am sure you will find answers to any questions you have from the folks posting on there.
I am sure your two girls will have no problem settling in - kids of that age seem to just mix with other kids so easily.

Enjoy the adventure of the move and good luck with it

Dread - x

What a lovely area that is, we have visited the lakeside beach there a few times and my kids love it. How long has your sister lived there?
