Default Hello, recommendations?

Firstly I'd like to introduce myself...hello

I'm currently 17 year old student with mixed feelings/ambitions and a lot of spare time (I literally research everything that interests me)!

Basically I am looking at feasible options to move out of the UK! Can anyone reccommend anywhere and give advice please?

I've been looking at the US (1st choice, however, it seems near impossible to live/work there), also Spanish islands such as Tenerife and also the Caribbean (although it looks like I'm gonna need to be rich as ).

Work wise, I would literally work anywhere that would take me, preferably in the tourism industry like a rep or something.

So does anyone have any advice or experience they'd like to share with me?

Thank-you all!

Hello and welcome to BE. Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself...I'm glad you've found us.

Your easiest option would be to move to one of the EU countries. You are correct with your assumption of the US...it is extremely difficult to move to unless you marry an American or perhaps attend a US uni but that is a very expensive option. As you mentioned Spain I suggest you repost your questions in our Spain Forums...you will get a much better response in there. The people who post in the Spain Forums are a friendly bunch of folk...so I'm sure you'll get plenty of help and advice from them. Why don't you pop over there, take a look around and join in? Here is the link to the Caribbean Forum...just in case you wish to take a look in there.

Please take a look in the BE Wiki...there may be info in there.

BE is a large expat website...so it's understandable that you may have problems finding your way around our many forums. We have a team of concierges who will direct you around the website. You can find a list of their names at the bottom right hand side of this page. We do not have a designated concierge for the Spain forums...the concierge for the Carribean forum is Pgtips...she will be pleased to help you.

Problems and complaints should be addressed to a moderator. The mods for the Spain forums are Fred James and Mitzyboy. The mods for the Carribean forum are Sue and Mitzyboy.

Please shout out if you need any further help...there is usually someone around 24/7.

Hi PeachesNCream,

Welcome to BE, I hope you enjoy your time with us.

At your age I am sure that you are looking for an adventure, and I don't blame you. A good place to start (if you don't know about it already) is BUNAC. It offers a way for someone such as yourself to experience life aboard and gives you a taste of what it's like to live and work in another country.

Hope the link helps.
