Hello Sharon...welcome to BE.

Unfortunately the US is one of the most difficult countries to move to...unless you are American or your spouse is. Take a read through this...basically if you don't fit into any of the categories you probably can't move to the US.

The forum you need to ask immigration questions in is the US Immigration and Visas forum...please post any questions you have about the actual immigration process in that forum. General questions about life in the US should be posted in the US Forum. The Trailer Park is for general chit chat.

Please take time to take a look in the BE Wiki and read through any 'stickied threads' or comments that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

If you require any assistance finding your way around BE's many forums we have a team of concierges who will act as your tour guide...they will be pleased to help you. The concierge for the US forums is Kaffy Mintcake...please contact her if you need pointing in the right direction.

Any problems or concerns should be addressed to a mod or admin. The mods for the US Immigration forums are Rete, Meauxna, Noorah101, Bob and MsElui.

Please give me a shout if I can be of further help.

Hi Sharon,

Welcome to BE, I hope you enjoy being part of our community. I don't want to put you off, but as Jerseygirl mentioned the immigration system is quite complex and it's not as easy to upsticks and migrate here as some people assume. Your first port of call should be the BE wiki. Read this page and see if any of it applies to you. That way if you want to discuss moving to the US withe other members you will have a better idea of the different ways that people migrate here.

Once again welcome
