Default Greetings

Hi all
we are a couple currently living in Dorset but looking to relocate to either the S/W France or Spain, looking for better weather, a more relaxed life and some quality time.
After both working in Mental Health Services for the past twenty odd years needing something a bit calmer.
Im a Hypnotherapist who can work via SKYPE based anywhere and Kens a Bookkeeper, considering changing direction to offer b+b etc, any advice on to rent or buy property ? Looking for a long term rent if that's an option

Any to avoid areas ? and great areas ? looking for local plus brit links and connections
any advice greatly received

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!
On the France front, post again in the France forum and we'll advise!
Be aware that, if you work at home you'll have to set up a French business structure which wouldn't cover both your speciality and B&B. And be sure to choose an area where there's a good internet coverage!
Read the Read-Me: Moving to France FAQs at the top of the France forum, particularly "Partner Status" if you're not legally bound; Renting (you'll need to prove a regular monthly income 3-4 times the rent in order to be considered by landlords); the latest thread #19 on "Inactifs" which concerns healthcare coverage before you've set up your business and all the while your partner isn't working, and conditions for residency; "Schooling" if you're bringing children,.....
That's for starters! I won't mention the wet and stormy weather which S.W. France has been suffering this spring. Hoping for better weather shouldn't be a factor when deciding to leave the UK!
