Why me?

Why me?
Well we flew back to Newark yesterday and me and the kids waited outside the terminal while hubby went to get the car from the long stay car park.
My son was wearing his new England football shirt and a young bloke staggered up to him, shook his hand and slurred something about being from Leicester. He was absolutely bladdered and I don't know how he managed to stay upright. His language was atrocious considering I was with my 14 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter.
He told me (a complete stranger) he was made redundant 2 weeks ago and had brought all his redundancy money in cash with him. He was planning on staying in USA for 5 weeks and in his words he was going to use and abuse America as much as he wanted. I asked him where he was heading and he didn't have a clue. I told him that there were buses to NY city from across the street and only then did he realise he was actually in America. He stayed talking to/shouting at me for about 10 minutes and in the end he staggered off looking for a light for his cigarette.
I just hope he found somewhere to stay last night, hopefully not the local police station. Somehow I don't think he'll last 5 days never mind 5 weeks here.

Re: Why me?
Gosh he's really clever, I bet the Americans will feel really used and abused as they take his redundancy cash...
