was born in Swindon.... only lived there for 2 years....although I was back there on Saturday watching Swindon FC ( brothers 40th

) and yes Swindon does seem a little strange.

I have lived in several places in the UK but Swindon was like almost a different universe. Nice to see that I am not alone in my views of Swindon.

Hi - haven't been onto the site for ages, so checked on the "Where are y'all from" for new postees - noticed the Farnham Surrey, lived in Tongham from '85 - '96 - liked Farnham lots. We had great times at the Waverly Squash Club till they turned it into a fitness gym etc. - went home Oct/Nov didn't see much of Farnham tho' (daughter lives in Church Crookham) only the Recreation Centre for Grandson't swimming lessons - usually have a wander around Lion and Lamb centre - like it up there - in fact we have 4 prints of Farnham hanging in our dining room that I bought at Bourne Mill - really loved the antique atmosphere of the place. Where you there for long?

Thought I'd chime in with my journey so far....

Plymouth, Devon (born and raised)
Hatfield, Herts (for the poly-versity)
Feltham, Middx for one year (college placement)
back to Plymouth for 2 years
Dallas, TX (north and Far-North "South-Oklahoma" area)
Currently Carrollton, TX but working in San Antonio TX.

I've now been in the States for 8 years, and with Green Card just approved, I guess I'm staying for a while...

I see a few other Plymothians on here... and several expats in the DFW area... cool!
