I have a full GC, the fact it was via marriage is redundant

You can vote, what the hell is other if it is not "non of the above" surely other is B1-B2 and k1 - ie a visa that allows you in the country but does not allow you to work.

I came in on a marriage visa and from day one had a GC, does this mean I have to vote twice, once for Marriage visa and once for GC. Talk about overcomplicating this.

Was waiting to see if I'd got anything wrong with it, first. Anybody see anything missing?

Bah Humbug! Where's your christmas spirit. Someone complained so I thought I was helping out. It's just a fun poll.....not a vote at the UN.

Perhaps you would prefer the poll closed and a new one created......although not by me.....I might overcomplicate things......plus I'll be too busy burning the turkey

What the hell is a 'Provisional Green Card"?

A Permanent Resident is a Permanent Resident is a Permanent Resident.

btw, 'marriage visa' would be a temporary state of being. The poll was asking 'what do you have now'?

Rules can change, but mine was a provisional two year GC, I had to "trade it in" for a 10 year version (with concomitant form filling and providing copies of joint signed lease, evidence of joint back account/credit cards, etc.), which absent a rugby conversion to naturalized USC, I would have had to replace it with a "fresh one" every 10 years. Another poster posted pointed out elsewhere on this site that "permanent" is only permanent until it is not permanent, meaning "permanent" residents can be deported more easily than naturalized USCs.
