Cheesecake factory has the best burgers and only about $8 you do have to wait for table! (did like red robin but finding burgers gone downhill)
Cracker barrel for 'good' US southern style cooking and cheap too (killing me we don't have one near here )

I am from Canada, every time we go to the US for holiday we always stop at the following:
Cracker Barrel....so far it was good.
Chilli's
Last Aug we went to Surfside Beach near Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, there was a restaurant the "Riverside Cafe" we had the best burgers ever.

Cracker Barrel
Quizno's subs - the veggie one is delish!

Don't know if Jason's Deli has been discussed- it's a chain deli with great sandwiches, baked potatoes, mufaletas, soup and salad bar. A typical sandwich (ie rueben usually has about 2" deep meet.
The one they opened up here 8 months ago is still always packed to the gills.

Have never had complaints from Jason's Deli either. Didn't realize they were a chain, thought they were local!

Q: Where will you find lots of tatoos and no teeth?
A: Just look at the Waitresses down at your local "Waffle House"
Where else can you get greasy food cooked and served up by dubious-looking individuals?
Jim.
