I don't understand it! Everytime i say explicitly I am not a racist, virtually everyone on this board starts shouting "racist, racist"!!
The only positive member with a positive comment was "joto". I say again, uncontrolled immigration is what I am on about. Any country, be it America, Canada or Timbuktoo only has a finite ability to take on migrants, especially those who do not want to make any contribution their new country. The premise that almost all immigrants like to work and build succesful new lives in their new country is absolute balderdash! Any of you--come and look at some areas where new immigrants have settled--you'll find drug traficking, prosititution, petty theiving, parking violations and general make-up-the-rules-as-we-go-along attitudes, you name it. It just happens to be that these people do not want to live their lives as the rest of the current population does, and that is to abide by the rules. And yet, the Govt. bends over backwards to let even more of the same in. One more thing, after which I will hold my peace, and that is, it's really fresh of some posters on here sitting in America, saying "we dont want any racists like you here...", when they themselves (or their forefathers) drove the indigenous peoples of America out of their homes and lands, and took the country over proclaimimng it "Land of the Free"! Ok, it may the land of the free, but what about the damn people you chucked out, huh? I AM NOT A RACIST.

Being called a rascist is an easy insult to hurl at someone and it sticks very well, irrlelvent of any credence of the claims.

I must admit I tend to agree somewhat with this. Not the fact that you may or may not be a racist, but about illegal immigration. I live in AZ, I moved here about 6 years ago and it was still relatively quiet here. Things have changed drastically though. Every nite on TV there are stories of 'drop houses' where the coyotes are holding illegal Mexicans for ransom, sometimes up to 180 in a 3 bedroom house. One such house the other week was worth over $1/2M , it annoys me that the people renting out these properties are obviously not doing background checks on the people renting their properties. You can imagine the conditions when the police get there. I feel for some of these people, they have in some cases paid thousands of $$$$ to get here, then just get screwed over and held to ransom. There are home invasions going on all over the valley, these mostly turn out to be done my Mexicans. Also there is a large gang presence downtown, these people just flout the law and if it is not brought under control soon, God knows what will happen.

The other thing that worries me are diseases being brought into the US from third world countries, especially if the people are coming in illegaly. No health check for them at the border. We constantly hear on the news about outbreaks here in AZ of TB in the schools and it usually turns out to be children of illegal Mexican aliens, quite scary. When I think of the hoops we had to jump thru to please everyone to get here it makes me very resentful to think that some people just walk across the border and start new lives with no questions asked.

Obviously the border patrols are not working, I think it is so out of control now that they may just as well open up the borders and let everyone thru.

I'm sure you can find these things everywhere, regardless of whether illegal immigrants are present or not. The fact that you are blaming these things solely on immigrants does make you racist.

1) Are people responsible for the sins of their forefathers?
2) As most posters here are first generation immigrants, it wasn't their forefathers doing the "chucking out".

Regards being a racist.... perhaps more of a hypocrite? The people entering Britain are doing so because they see an easier/better life there. You want to leave Britain because... why? If you really care, stay and work to resolve the immigrant problem.
