Default website to order bread?

can anyone tell me a website to order some british bread? I have been trying brit depot for about the past 6 weeks and they are always sold out.

making my own doesnt taste the same...i want some thick cut, white sliced for some marmite toast and this soft spongy sweet stuff here isnt doing it!

I know what you mean. I bought a breadmaker (Mrs Texas_Dave refused) and its just not the same.

I've found the fresh baked bread roll's in my Albertsons aren't too sweet. Perfect for my bacon butties, or sausage and english mustard, mmmmmm

There was a place that sold British bread somewhere online, but I can't remember the name; try searching the forum for Hovis/Kingsmill.

Hi Bettyboop I have found a really good white bread here that I use in the restaurants I run. It's thick doughy white and even has the dusting of flour on the crust like a real farmhouse country bread.
I would be more than happy to ship you a loaf to try it and if you like it I could organise a bigger shipment thru my company. They make a wheat too which is very good.
My dad LOVES it and always eats toast for breakfast with it when he visits and hes a fussy bugger and only eats what he calls "proper bread" not "paper bread" his reference to American bread!
Anyway PM me if you want to give it a try Its perfect with a cuppa, marmalade or marmite, actually I eat it with veggiemite.....
I have spent years looking for a good thick sliced bread and feel your pain!
