Anyway, I hooked it up last night..it was a breeze and worked great. I had a small hitch today when I started phoning friends in UK- I could hear them really well, they could not hear me..said my voice was fragmented. Just before I phoned tech support I remembered I was seeding some TV programmes on uknova...closed those out and tried the phone again, worked great. Sooo if any of you thinking of getting Lingo download from uknova- don't dl/upload when you want to use the phone. Apart from that, it works really well- I had a great afternoon phoning all my friends And me mum (and some friends too) is chuffed that she can phone me on the London number for free after 6pm every night and all weekends.
I had the same problem. However, after calling their technical support, they downloaded some new firmware and it solved the issue. I also seed for UKnova and have not experienced any conflict at all.

Haven't used it, but I know a few that have, mixed results really, internet chat weren't to bad, when on broadband...but more mixed results when using it to proper telephone...but that was a while ago I guess, so they could have improved lots...

Comparative review of VOIP services on PC Magazine site. They place AT&T Callvantage top for its web interface, call quality and features. As far as Lingo goes, they criticize the web interface and call quality, but
The differences in sound quality are small overall, however. They certainly shouldn't be a deal-breaker, especially for those who want to take advantage of the great Western Europe or Asia pricing plans.
Hope this is useful for anyone trying to make sense of the whole VOIP thing!

Cheers

Pat

Naaa....just limited numbers, when people don't use account for a certain period of time, it gets deleted, and then more accounts become available...just have to keep trying....

Also, there's talk that some will be banned soon for low ratios. Apparently they have to keep the numbers down to 2,500. Odd because "The Power of Nightmares" documentary was downloaded by well over 3,000 members.

It's overall ratios', and you have a week to bring them up to scratch, it's the worst 100 that get deleted...people that d/load like 20 gb's but upload nothing sort of thing...

Yeah I know Bob. I should have said what I meant more clearly in my post. There'll be deleted accounts and bannings soon, so immunise should keep trying to get in.

What I found odd was they say that the number of members has to be kept to 2500, and yet the first release of Power of Nightmares was downloaded by 3400+ members.
