Using UK Apple devices in the USA
#16
You won't be able to use the US app store until you signup with a US credit card. There were some quirky things with regards to regions on my iPad, when I used to own one.
You will have to get used to switching between UK and US keyboards.
I don't know if you can moved your existing app store account from the UK to US.

LOL, don't worry, you have to pick your side with this lot when it comes to the important matters in life like Apple v Windows and Top Loaders v Front Loaders.
I am an Apple FanGirl - I don't need to know 'how' my tech works just that it does. We are a 2 macbook, 4 ipad, 3 iphone, 2 apple tv family. I'm usually one generation behind everyone as I get The Dudes hand me downs when he upgrades but I just bought myself an iphone 7plus in Rose Gold and I'm as happy as a pig in the proverbial

Top loaders? I didn't know they existed anymore?

Well he likes jazz.
I expect he likes top-loaders too.

Actually, that's unfair. He does wash and iron his shirts - he doesn't trust me with those. The same as he doesn't trust me around his turntable. So I just plug my iTunes into his music centre ....er rack, I mean
and upset him another way.

Im pretty sure that if you move from one app store to another, whileit all works, you lose the apps you paid for in the old country. Not normally a big cost issue, but i seem to recall this happened to me. For the record, apple devices are imho just so much friendlier than android and microsoft os's. They just work seamlessly. The only addition is - if you are serious about word processing or spreadsheets, accept no substitute, microsoft office 365 is it...
