US radio equivalents
Just got an internet radio and would like to know the US equivalents of Radio 4's flagship morning and tea-time programmes, and Radio 5.
I'm in Melbourne so LA stations would be best, time-wise. NY ones also welcome.
Thanks,
Ian

Re: US radio equivalents
To be honest, you're better off saving your sanity and sticking to "Radio 4's flagship morning and tea-time programmes, and Radio 5".

Re: US radio equivalents
There are no equivalents to the "Today" program and "PM" if these are the flagship BBC programs you are referring to.
Even after 10 years in the States I prefer to listen to these programs via the Internet rather than any US Public Broadcast program.(no offense by the way).
The BBC has all their stations streaming on the Internet.

Re: US radio equivalents
With the exception of NPR almost all radio in the US is very local with pretty much every city of any size having one or more stations - as such it is almost meaningless to ask for the "US equivalent" - you should be asking for the Albuquerque equivalent or the Dallas equivalent ...
