US radio equivalents
Just got an internet radio and would like to know the US equivalents of Radio 4's flagship morning and tea-time programmes, and Radio 5.
I'm in Melbourne so LA stations would be best, time-wise. NY ones also welcome. Thanks, Ian |
Re: US radio equivalents
To be honest, you're better off saving your sanity and sticking to "Radio 4's flagship morning and tea-time programmes, and Radio 5".
O' O' O' O' O' Reilly's! |

Re: US radio equivalents
There are no equivalents to the "Today" program and "PM" if these are the flagship BBC programs you are referring to.
Even after 10 years in the States I prefer to listen to these programs via the Internet rather than any US Public Broadcast program.(no offense by the way). The BBC has all their stations streaming on the Internet. |
Re: US radio equivalents
With the exception of NPR almost all radio in the US is very local with pretty much every city of any size having one or more stations - as such it is almost meaningless to ask for the "US equivalent" - you should be asking for the Albuquerque equivalent or the Dallas equivalent ...
