You can apply 90 days before (and not a single day earlier) the third anniversary of you acquiring PR status assuming that your PR status is based on marriage to a US citizen. If your PR status is for any other reason then you can apply 90 days before the fifth anniversary of your PR status.

This is slightly different to my understanding of this. I thought filling based on 3 years of marriage was independent of how you got PR. So someone who became a PR based on employment could also file after 3 years of marriage to a USC instead of waiting till 5 years, at least that’s the advice I got here and from my lawyer.
