Exactly. He's a British citizen running a web site hosted outside of the U.S. Where does the U.S. have any jurisdiction over this? Unfortunately, the U.K. seems to be quite happy to hand it's citizens over to the U.S. regardless.

How could they let this nonsense extradition treaty get passed? What were the arguments for such an unbalanced agreement? (I am not sure I would send anyone to an American prison)

I think the relationship depends on the leaders, but regardless, at the operational level the ties remain strong, because we both know where our bread is buttered, so to speak.
