The nearest one is over an hour's drive from us, so a 40-mile straight shot is a no-brainer!

We got a cartful (including some beer) and we usually play the game of 'guess how much the bill will be'. I said $150 and the wife said $120. Imagine our (pleasant) surprise when it was $92.

...and yes, wine selection and price is great, too. A big choice at $5.99 and up.
They also do a vintage cheddar that is made in England and is delicious. I picked up some cheese with Branston pickle mixed in it the other day from Shoprite. It is made in The Isle of Man so will be tasting that as soon as my stomach rids itself of this damn virus!!

Hienz Beans, $2 a can at Wegmans at the moment, that's about $1.30 less than usual.

Though I'd rather get their own brand veg beans at a buck as it's a much larger can and pretty decent.

That's a really good price. Noticed at Stop and Shop the other day that they were up around 4 bucks, and also that they had pulled all the Cadbury's chocolate off of the shelves.

Yes, selling Heinz beans at $3.30 is just taking the mickey. Thank goodness for Fresh and Easy - I just wish they were doing better.

There's a world food store near the buckhead loop in atlanta, next door to the kroger, opposite the twin peaks bar. Got some decent stuff in there, bit expensive though.

Wegmans had a Polish blackcurrant juice, it isn't a Ribina cordial though, but it was only a couple bucks for a decent sized bottle.

Wonder if anyone has tried it? I can't be bothered as the kids didn't like blackcurrant juice.

Oh, there was also some Elderflower juice imported, which is quite lovely

Ikea do a very nice Elderflower cordial. Also some nice jams and biscuits. Picking up a few goodies on the way out kind of takes the edge off the stress of having worked your way round the rest of the store....

That's good to know...keep meaning to check the local one out, if nothing else for the free kids lunch thing, but just can't be arsed to drive 40 odd mins to it

Talking of cordial though, our local hippy dippy shop had some, but it was well expensive for the regular sized bottle, but worked out quite cheap if you got the bulk bottle, something like a 1.5l bottle? Can't remember, but worked out at half the price per volume I think...but it's such a weird little place to get in and out of that we've only checked the place out the once.
