[i].Anyway, whatever the case, I am going back to England in two weeks until the start of May so I will be pigging out on most British foods.

You lucky thing!!! Although I have British visitors right now and I swear they couldn't have fitted any clothes in the suitcase for all my goodies, this includes Frys chocolate cream by the box full with masses of other chocolate, Daddies sauce, OXO stir fry sauce, walkers C&O and many more even 6 bottles of squash!!.
1 was stopped & searched at Newark she told them she was bringing it for a starving British refugee over here!!!! LOL
Have a nice trip

The Superfresh in Mount Airy maryland is a treasure trove of British goodies:
Birds Custard Powder
kerrygold and Lurpak butter (although not British!)
Weetabix
Cross and Blackwell Xmas puds
cadburys chocolate, whole nut, fruit and nut
Heinz vegetarian beans
golden syrup
Hartleys jam and marmelade

Last Nov they had Mr Kiplings apple pies, mince pies, cherry bakewells and viennese whirls in. They sold out really quickly but they never stocked them again.

...cherry bakewells...
Damn, you had my hopes up then! I had a real craving for these scrumptious goodies last week - probably a good thing I couldn't get hold of any...

If you have an Albertsons near you they always have Mr Kiplings all different types.

I was in my local Shaws today moaning about the price of Marmite. Along came the manager who was non other than a fellow Londoner. Suffice to say... bread sauce will soon be making an appearance there.

Is that the Shaws near Rockport? We met him in the car park as he came to move us out for parking our car and riding off with bikes. This was despite the fact the car park was near enough empty and we were going to return and shop there Decided on principle not to shop there again until discovering it's the only supermarket for miles

That's the one. Do you live nearby? I haven't met any other Brits around here.

I'm going to be living in Montpelier, VT so nearby in the American sense. Do you live there? It's a pretty little town. The only local I spoke to came from London and has lived there for 20+ years. She lives by the back beach. She's a fine example of a classic English dame so I don't think you'll miss her if she passes your way.

I live right near Back Beach in Pigeon Cove. I'll keep my beadies open for her. The only other local of note is the dude who got the Oscar for Finding Nemo.

I went into an Irish shop in Fredericksburg VA on Saturday.

Proper bangers.
Mint sauce
Salad cream
Walnut whips
Heinz baked beans
Bisto
and loads of other stuff,

Pricey ($7.50 for the bangers) but what price the orgasm I had last night eating them. First proper sausages in the 18 months I've been here.
A piece of lamb tonight with the mint sauce.

Oh life is good :0)

I've been dreaming of the Marks and Sparks food hall. It's been over two years now.

I have seen this in several places for sale. I was begining to wonder if thats all Brits wanted over here. The main things I see are Heinz BB"s (which I buy in large quantities) and T&L syrup...

Hi Debbie,
I was in Jacksonville, the air base actually. I loved it there and the people were great. Made some long lasting friends, and had a great job.
Where are you?
