Travelling to Canada

Brit Planning to travel from CA to Canada. Have H1B docs but it is not stamped in passport. L2 is stamped. Entered States on an L2.
There are no appointments available at the US Consulate for period of stay in Canada.
Are there any issues - re-entering US without H1B stamped. Is it better to travel with L2 and forget about H1B for this trip.
There is not enough time to send passport to get stamped before trip.
