hi guys
we have been in the US now for over 2 months and just sent some money back to UK and got stung from BOA. What is a cheaper reliable way?

Look down a bit....there's another thread from today, or yesterday on this subject....or have a search, it's come up a handful of times a week with plenty of recommendations.

So companies can transfer money in either direction or to just about anywhere you might want.

If you have a Chase Private Account you can transfer anywhere with no transaction charge the exchange rates are at market rate, the recipient may however have to pay a transaction fee.

I suspect the required minimum balance of $250,000 might be a stumbling block to some.

I've been using Xoom.com, its fast, 4.99 from a bank account is the fee, I've had no issues
