It's all so obvious now.

Get yourselves on to Tommy Moloney's website and order yourselves a big pack of bacon, black pudding, white pudding, sausages - costs a bit but worth every penny...oops cent.

Or hit Whole Foods for some Irish Bangers - had them at the weekend, they were pretty good.

Or do as I am doing - send hubby back home on 'business trip' with a spare suitcase

I still have a couple of dozen rowies in the freezer from when our visitors were over in March - those of you from N.E. Scotland will know what they are. For the rest of you as Stuart McBride says 'it's like a croissant that has let itself go'

They're finally building a Whole Foods just up the road from us - until that opens its a bit of a trek into the big city for me, and I'm just a country boy at heart....

The current supply of pies was from one of my wife's business trips to Pittsburgh.....come in quite handy sometimes, these travelling spouse types

I drove up to The Woodlands yesterday (from Pearland mind) just to find out what the fuss was about over Trader Joes. It's a tiny store, seriously, I have been in bigger Buc-ees!! I did get some curry sauce, mango chutney, sweets, crisps, mac and cheese bites - you know the essentials. I won't go there again till the new one downtown opens.

Never been in a Trader Joes - seen them mentioned on here, but not about to trek out to the Woodlands to experience one - especially based on your description !
