Timeline from marriage to Green Card
Hi, My husband, from the UK, and I (USC) were married in the UK, end of July 1999, came back here(MA) filed the I-130 with the VSC, Rob was still working in the UK, so he flew back and forth once a month, he had his london interview on Dec.22, 1999,got his passport stamped(green card arrived 3 mos. later) and flew here on Dec 23.End of Sept. 2001, we filed to have the conditions removed, Nov, 2001, received NOA extending his card for a year. The beginning of May 2002 we received a letter from the VSC that our file had been sent to the Boston office, and they would contact us for the dreaded interview......July 27 2002, We got a letter from Boston that the conditions had been removed(no interwiew, yippeee!!!), and on Aug.6 2002, we went to Boston and got his passport stamped, they said 6 mos. to a year for the actual greencard. For anyone going to Boston, get there as early as you can, we waited 7 hrs for the stamp that took less than a minute.... Good luck to everyone!!

Re: Timeline from marriage to Green Card
Hi Missy Thanks for the info...I am about to start the move to the US after my
interview in London which was a few weeks ago. Hopefully 2 years down the line we'll
be in the same situation as you. Can I ask what type of proof you sent with your
i-751 petition to remove conditions? Thanks
S.M.

Re: Timeline from marriage to Green Card
Hi S.M.,we sent in our joint tax return, our rental lease(house), joint checking and savings account statements, utility bills, a doctor and dentist insurance claim thing showing I was his spouse, not a whole lot really. It wasn't until we thought that we would have the interview, that we got affadavits, joint credit cards, a statement from his employer showing I was the beneficiary of his insurance, and retirement plan from work, and then luckily we didn't need it! If you have any other questions, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. I wish you all the best!!! Missy Originally posted by S.M.:
