If you're already committed to the new build, signed contracts... the school district will usually accept that as confirmation of your intention to live in the district and give you a place in the school. Might help with widening your search for a rental.

Thx again, think I may struggle getting a 6 month rental, so having options out of the assigned area will certainly help.

Schooldigger.com has much more useful data than GreatSchools. As another member added their rating system isn't exactly 100% indicative. Always look at the school district and their performance also.
