The Maritime Coastguard Agency said the whale was not its responsibility because it died on a barge rather than land. "Not our problem mate"

I see that the volunteers cars were all ticked and the bill is 300 pounds. That amount for a small charity is a chunk of cash, I just hope that something is done about it! All the vehicles were marked so its not as if the ticketers could not see it. Now lets see the next time a police car is parked on a yellow line................

I am quite refreshed that in 3 pages of commentary, I don't read one single "Save the Whales" enviro-whacko, 'we're killing the animals' boo-hoo sobbing postings. Thank you.

Too bad general human suffering, hunger in Africa, Aid for Poor Ironpourers Society, or the Republican Party Congressional bail fund didn't get as much f**king airtime as the silly sick whale did- maybe some good would have come out of it all.

Rant over...good show all.

If one more stupid person in NY, says to me "You Brits killed that whale, we would have saved it", I may smack them in the mouth.

Americans are experts at "only remembering the good stuff, very very good a forgetting the bad". They all walk around with tunnel vision. They are also taught, that anyone who says anything against the system "must be a traitor a commi".

Love it!

I hear the papers are trying to raise 10,000 pounds to give it a proper buriel.

FFS I cannot believe they want the public to donate for a dead whale.

I can think of better uses.

Tow it's ass out to sea and let the sharks etc take care of it...that is what is natural and proper. Or just let it rot in the Thames ans get eated there.

It never ceases to amaze me to what idiotic things people will donate their money....all the while refusing to help out the poor family down the street, or speaking ill of the shabily dressed poor kids that go to school with their kids.

Please don't do that, knowing my luck the thing will float across the Atlantic get sucked into a river and end up in Lake Ray Hubbard in Dallas, where a unsuspecting Yosser will run over it on my windsurfer breaking off my $150 carbon skeg, thus me going head first into some rocks and me ending up being a paraplegic for the rest of my life.
