Pretty grubby compared to Target... and KMart which are now all spanking new Sears.

When Walmart bought Asda the local Asda didnt become a Walmart, nothing much changed, and I was disappointed. I doubt if all of a sudden we will be eating Tescos own sticky toffee pudding or chicken curries (with the garlic and herb nan bread - gorgeous)

New build Asdas are more like Walmart Supercenters. About 40% food, the rest is non food. Just like Tesco in fact with their Extra stores.

I havent been home in almost 4 years, the first thing walmart did was build an Asda in Cambridge, it was an Asda. They have obviously changed their policy.

I have heard of (but not seen) one or two "Walmarts" in the UK. Asda has built new stores under Walmart ownership that are Asda branded, but are obviously Walmart look-a-alikes. My time between the US and the UK in 2003/2004 whilst UK based showed that the same items (e.g R/C Hummer!!!) were in both.
