Hi all,
Last year we applied for and were given ITIN numbers for our 3 daughters.
Could anyone tell us if we are able to use the same numbers when filling our taxes this year and in future years or do we have to apply every year?
Many Thanks, Tamhawk1969

If the I-485 + I-765 have been filed, the children can get SSNs.
If they are eligible for SSNs, I think they're not supposed to use the ITINs.

ITIN is the same until they get their own GCs.

What's happening with your green card application?

Yep- if the kids are eligible for work (either through having a EAD or Green Card) then they must have a SSN.
The IRS won't accept a tax return (or an extension request) without a SSN so apply quickly!
