Can anyone recommend a decent UK knowledgable tax CPA in Boston area (ideally metro west)? I need someone familiar with tax treatment of UK endowment policies and FBAR requirements.

I can't remember the bloke but you may be able to google it, but there's a bloke in Sudbury apparently that's done a lot of Brit taxes, possibly another one in Wayland.

If you wanted good general ex-pat tax info, Framingham and Milford have a few that know all about overseas taxes, mostly regarding Brazil.
