You are just mean.

Katie, lots of fancy words does a good argument make.

And I thought the US pharmaceutical industry had managed to cure schizophrenia with a simple, daily pill? Obviously they have more work to do on this!

You mean to say you are reaching conclusions not knowing that Saddam in fact paid suicide bombers families thousands of dollars per family? Wow is all I can say. That you didn't know does not alter the fact that Saddam paid out money to suicide bombers families for blowing up Israeli citizens.

Like I said, I did not think invading Iraq (along with lots of Congressmen/women) was the best idea. Such an invasion risked wearing down US military/civilian moral with the added risk that Iran will be emboldened to move faster to seek want it wants: domination through nukes.

Syria right now is supporting Hezbollah and Hamas. You might not know that but the fact that you don't know that does not alter the fact that Syria is supporting terror organizations that seek Israel's destruction. Hezbollah also killed over 200 US soldiers in a suicide bomb attack some years ago. Now that fact that you might not know this does not alter the fact that it happened. One of the top politicians in Iran gave the go-ahead for the Hezbollah attack; now that fact that you might not know this does not alter the fact that it happened.

It's not a black and white thing, but more of a convoluted game of power chess. To paint America as mean and horrible is both idiotic and shows lack of appreciation of the complexity of the evolving situations. It's a fluid game of power chess with no black/white distinctions. But carry on thinking that Saddam did not in fact support terror against US friends in the Middle East, did not try to kill an ex-US President, did not develop bioweapon know-how, did not provide cash to Hamas suicide bombers' families, was not wanting to re-invade Kuwait, had no aspiration to rule the Middle East ... please ... carry on ...

No, it's about 'managing'. Not 'curing'. Big difference. And those side effects? Those are benefits that they should be charging you extra for (especially the one that lasts for more than four hours).

[/rant]

Anyone got a 'support our politicians' car ribbon?

Unfortunately, there seems to be a correlation between the Support our Politicians and Support our Troops stickers, i.e. the yellow ribbon frequently seems to adorn the 'W04' one. And here, you're either with us or against us!

How can you say on the one hand that Saddam has sponsored terrorism ( which I conced he may well of ) yet ignore the fact that the US HAS sponsored terrorism round the world, both from the government and the public funding noraid and the like ?
