Default sponorship question!

Hey i have a question regarding the H1b visa.
Iam from the UK and am living in florida and am currently seeking employment in my field;engineering. Now, i have managed to score a job with a local engineering firm and they are extremely interested to have me on their books.HOWEVER, the owner has some reservations about sponsorship and is not willing to have the government stick their nose in his business just to employ me. He told me that if i can get around it somehow he would be very interested in employing me.
Can anyone advise me on any other way i can do this. I was curious to find out if anyone knows of any ''sponsoring agencies'' where by an agency will take the sponsor so that the company does not have to do it.
PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR.

many thanks in advance

There is no way around it

The employer is your sponsor. You cannot self-sponsor (though you could
try to do the paperwork yourself if the company doesn't want to but this
is very difficult).

I don't know how long you have been living in FL but if you are out of
status now I don't think it will be possible to change status without
leaving the US.

Ya, you can get your H1 sponsored through some Consulting-Firm and
they can send you as a 'consultant' to your employer. The only
disadvantage here is that you won't be able to get 100% of your salary
to yourself as you will have to pay a certain amount of percentage to
your consulting firm!

There are many consulting firms in Florida, you may check out few on
the internet and then call them up!! All the best,

--Ben.
