The JHP is interesting - it's a frangible round made by DRT (Dynamic Research Technologies, AKA Dead Right There) and is composed of a compressed metal powder core in a copper jacket.
When the weather gets better, we're going to mix up a batch of ballistic gel and compare them with the Hornady CDs my buddy favours.

We opened our presents tonight, as is our custom - because SWMBO can't wait to see what she got and I can't wait to see her smile.
She was very pleased with the little .22LR Derringer I got her. Chiappa - seem like good guys - I got it used, called to ask about a manual (not that one's really needed, but belt and braces never hurt) and got an email from Sr Chiappa himself, with the manual as a pdf.
I got to unwrap my Official Red Ryder Lever Action Carbine. It has the following stamped on the barrel: "Warning. Misuse may cause serious injury, Particularly to the eye."

I really miss Casablanca. Plus no end of films about us stuffing the Krauts in WWII. That's a proper Christmas.

Knowing that firearm ownership in the UK is seen as the realm of gangsters, nutters, and the Royals - I wondered how many of you were tempted by the dark side here in the US and picked up a gun of some kind.
Personally, me and the wife have a small arsenal, lots of fun, a great stress buster, and very handy when 2 mexican gentlemen hop over your back wall at 2am - but that's another story.
So any fellow shooters hereabouts?

I got a usb controlled missile launcher....probably doesn't count, but it's a good laugh all the same
