Shipping recommendations
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but...
I am going to be moving from the UK to Houston, Texas, does anyone have any recommendations for shipping companies to move my belongings? I will not be taking any large items of furniture, mainly stuff that can go in boxes and a few paintings.
Thanks

Depending on how many boxes/paintings you're looking at taking you have the options of an excess baggage/courier company (for just a few boxes) or an International Removal company (if there is a more substantial number). Most international removal companies offer a shared container service so you don't have to pay for a whole container if you don't need it. A good place to start is the FIDI website (https://www.fidi.org/find-fidi-affiliate) for a list of certified international removal companies that cover your area.
Hope that helps!

Re: Shipping recommendations
Hey there!
I had a great experience with Robinsons when I moved 5 years ago from Southampton to Atlanta.
they were happy to give me quotes and sort all of the legal stuff out regarding ports of entry.
the day of shipping the guys came over and had to repack my boxes as they needed to legally see what I was shipping. Took around 4-5 weeks to receive at the other end if I remember correctly.
the customer services were very helpful and attentive!
