Traverse City is lovely. I live 40 miles south in the small village of Kaleva.
There are a lot of small towns around that area. All within decent commuting distance. Buckley, Kingsley, Benzie, Frankfort, Honor, Interlochen

wooohoooo and i'm 70 miles north ... Petoskey is a lovely area BUT the jobs are mainly seasonal and thanks to the rich folks using the area as a summer playground housing/taxes are expensive too.

Yeah, they need the practice with their bolt-cutters.

United Vanlines and their various subsids are all over and not too bad. No idea about costs, though.
