Atheist argues against 'Under God' before high court

I wonder what will happen when I get naturalized and I refuse to say "under god?"

Hmmmmm

God knows what the court was thinking
i was wondering about that as well but you dont have to however it does require the final line:

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

In some cases, INS allows the oath to be taken without the clauses:

". . .that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by law. . ."

So not much better. i am waiting to see how Mr Nedows supreme court case goes in which case you could write to USCIS and ask them to allow for an affirmation instead of the oath to God.

She's only following the lead of her President, who bombed an entire country because he thought God told him to.

Everyone should read The Age of Reason by Thomas Paine. It demonstrates why the bible is nothing but a fraud. He isn't an atheist, he is a deist that believes the bible is a lie. His evidence is unquestionable. Why? Because he uses the bible to show how the authors could not be who they are claimed to be and points out areas where it is absurd, contradictory and hearsay.
