Seattle is FAR better than Phoenix. I've stayed in both places for extended periods of time. Phoenix is a total urban sprawl where NOBODY and I mean nobody walks anywhere. All people drive are stupid 30 litre hummers and crap like that. Its the reason we have global warming!
Seattle on the other hand is a cool, trendy city with funky neighbourhoods like Freemont, Ballard etc. People walk and cycle quite a bit and there are some excellent hikes and trails to do. Cars are a lot smaller tahn other American states and Seattle has its own Kyoto agreement! Its also a totally Progressive city. Ya wont see many Bush lovers ere!
Seattle's main drawback at the momenty is incresing house prices though but I hear Phoenix is goin the same way though.
Seattle 8.5 /10. Phoenix 2/ 10 (1 point goes to the Alice cooper bar!)
