As you know, there is much organising that needs to be done before moving from UK to US, selling the house & other stuff, leaving your job, looking for new schools, finding a place to live in the US etc... Of course we would not dare do anything until we had the visa's/greencards firmly in our grip, however, we want to 'mentally' plan our future and to be honest, we can't imagine why we would be refused. What do you think our chances are..... heres our details.........
We are currently awaiting our interview with the US embassy. We are being sponsered by a sibling. Our I-130 was filed in the US in 1990 - so it's been a wait (slow torture!) We have sent our DS230's and DS2001 and have been told verbally by the consular that our interview should be in July (confirmation letter on the way).
We have no illness, are very healthy, no criminal convictions, never even had a speeding ticket, we have all the paperwork ready and our sponser earns enough to cover us for the 125% over poverty, as required. We have never been deported or stayed in the US longer than we should have. SO - if you were in our shoes, what '%' would you give yourself??
All thoughts welcome!
