He appeared to be “searching” for an American woman to marry for residency purposes.
He overstayed the VWP but his reasons don’t make sense. The death of his brother in the UK should not be a cause for him to remain in the US
He accused the POE officers of misrepresentation for saying that his intent was to remain n in the US, which is what he said it was [the inference that this automatically implied illegally was only his]
HE blames flying for worsening his poor health [flying was his choice]
He planned to fly to Canada with the intent of entering the US illegally
He accuses his landlord of levying outrageous charges ($1,000) for breaking his lease. This is standard contractual obligations.

He says “How can a country be so evil towards an innocent tourist?” he was NOT an innocent tourist.
His timeline [if written chronologically] doesn’t make sense. In his second letter to the ambassador dated 23rd Feb, he references the “hell” at San Francisco on Jan 30th. Yet between San Francisco and the letter, he had flown to Canada and back and being homeless for 7+weeks!!

The entire tomb is filled with self pity and rhetoric. While some of what he says may be true, more may appear true and some may be downright wrong, everyone who hits trouble with a bureaucratic power feels victimized.

“Our letters to the Queen and the Foreign Secretary have not been successful. The Queen has shown the utmost contempt for the safety and welfare of UK nationals abroad.” Seriously, WTF?!?

His actions of legally changing his name and his description of why he flew the route he did into Canada makes him very suspicious. “My fingers were
unusually dry and raw when I got to Pacific Highway. I was hoping that the roughness of my skin would throw off the fingerprint scans IF I had to go through this check.” This is the actions of someone who is convinced and planning on performing something illegal.

The madness and his continued illegal actions go on and on. I’ll read the rest later, but I hope you were sarcastic, as I have very little sympathy for this man and what he has gone through so far…
You missed a bit. When he was refused entry into the US, he returned to the UK and he was homeless and the evil UK government wouldn't give him housing. Then to make things worse, the government cut of some of his benefits. So with no money for housing and no benefits, he purchased another plane ticket to Canada to try to sneak into the US but was turned back by Canadian immigration.

I like the second letter he sent the US Ambassador in London. He certainly knows how to make sure he gets no help at all.

Also cannot imagine two ICE officers and a deportee arriving at Heathrow and not being met, they certainly would have been in my day.

Best bit of that is that he changed his name legally in the UK before trying it, and by the sound of it tried to mess his finger tips up to fool the fingerprinting process at the border so they wouldn't discover his previous identity.

I also got the impression that he was on UK disability benefits but was trying to get a visa to work in the US. I guess he is unable to work in the UK but he is able to work in the US if he can get a visa.

I spent ten days in the UK helping to clear my brother's dilapidated flat (a nightmare in itself) and cremating him.

Perhaps the matches wouldn't light?

I feel dirty, enthralled, but dirty. I have wasted 3 hours of my life reading every word of this drivel.

Time to call the men in whote coats.

My favourite part was at the end, when his wife dumped him and started screwing another guy 3 months before he was detained for illegally crossing the Canadian border.

I kind of agree. regardless of everything that happened to him in his opening statement he says that life in the UK was bad and he specifically went to a site that had a lot of American women on it to chat to because it was his intention to move the the US and live there. Then he says that the US embassy was in dereliction of duty when they refused an (assuming) B-2 because he didn't qualify for it. I can't help thinking that this should be a story of what can happen when people think they are entitled to live in the US and "will find a way to do it."

Don't know why he didn't just ask on here about how he could move to Florida to live.

He would have got the some treatment as he got from USCIS with a lot less effort and saved himself a lot of money.
