Renters insurance
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a company that I could get insurance off as a tenant?
Thanks

Yes - try Mercury - we have found them cosistently cheaper and no hassle when we had a couple of claims.

I checked out the State Farm website and they do renters insurance for about $17 a month. Which ain't bad.
Manc might be able to point you in the right direction with this.

don't buy it for the sake of your $50 stereo from walmart, buy the $300,000 liability it offers should you burn the place down and not to have your wages garnished for the rest of your life.

There was a fire once at our old apartment complex and our friends lost everything ....... and you've guessed it they didn't have any renters insurance. It's such a shame because it costs such a small amount in the grand scale of things. We did as much as we could to help them but it was very painful having to watch them start from scratch with no money.

Also, review it (or home owners insurance) every year or more. The cover you hapreviously may not be enough should the worst happen now.
