Average price for 1 bed apartment in DC is about $1000 p/m, go further down into southern Maryland and a 2 bed house is $1800 p/m, apparently DC's overall cost of living is 81% above the national average.

city prices, but the cheaper option is in a crap neighbourhood with shit schools and gangs - just giving you the range!

here for a 1st time buyer, something half decent youre looking at say a $500K mortgage, maybe 2500-3000/month including taxes

or I am renting a 3 bedroom place for $2200 but thats pretty cheap
1 bed, something nice between 1000-1500. Anything less than $1000 is probably just a very small apartment of flatshare
Our home has 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 jaccuzi, 1 24 ft swimming pool, a quater acrea of land, hardwood floors etc, has been totally renovated.
And thats our mortgage payment .... Honestly

Sudbury, that's proper posh, just out side the W's though ain't it, and chances are, there on $100K salary type people up there....but on the plus side, they've got to deal with Route 20 to get anywhere

And the hispanic workers, like most poor people that live around here, live in the unadvertised part of town, around here, that's a street over from the town green, a right heave.

Some of them have been there 20 years and are on about $25 and hour, but do no overtime.
I once walked in and said 'Huwanasdayus" (I have no idea how it's spelt) and one guy said "Haaa Pat ! .... huw haff learned Spanish"
I said "I had to ! ..... You've been here 20 f**kin years and still can't speak English"
