Seems like a plethora of sites. Just wondering which ones folk prefer. Orbitz seems to be popular. Last time I went I used a travel agent but that was a very long time ago.

We use hipmunk.com or expedia.com, to do the research. I usually end up booking direct thru Virgin who have been the cheapest most of the time i've flown Newark-Heathrow the last 10 years!
My Dad just booked his tickets to come out here and got the best flight price calling an actual office of flightcenter.com

Not quite the airports you were looking for, but Norwegian.com are launching a new service between NY and LGW next summer, currently they have flights for $500 return inc taxes starting next July - no onboard meals unless you pay extra, they seem to be a long-haul Ryanair.
