Hey everyone. Have not been here for quite some time but figured this might be a good place to ask this question.

My sister is looking at options to travel to the US from the UK and thought that Barbados might be a good option. She'd hang out there for 2 weeks before coming into the US but there are no direct flights to ATL. She can go via Miami but is concerned that she might have to quarantine there for two weeks before she was allowed to continue to ATL. Anyone know if you have to quarantine at the port of entry of if you can do it at the final destination?

Thanks for your help - hoping this will be all over soon so all of us can all be with family again!

Not possible. You won’t be able to board the flight to the first U.S. point of entry as you’re affected by the travel ban. This is because you must clear U.S. customs and immigration in Miami before you can take the connecting flight to Barbados. Try UK to Mexico for the 2 weeks quarantine.

I read it as the transit in Miami being for the journey from Barbados to the US, after the 2 weeks there?

There is no mandatory quarantine for entry to US, so as long as the arrival is from a country not on the travel ban arriving at ATL then going to Miami would be ok.

I don't know the answer but I read the OP as saying UK>>Barbados>>Miami>>Atlanta

Yes, this would be the route - sorry for the confusion and thanks for the input. So there is no mandatory quarantine at Miami and it looks like all that is needed is a -ve Covid-19 test?
