RE Comments pls on visible tattoos for police officers....
Police Officers Banned from Displaying Tattoos............
Houston police officers will have to hide their tattoos or have the artwork removed by laser as part of a new rule to ensure a professional image.

Just curious as to thoughts on this....if you called a cop and he showed up with a tattoo on his arm would it matter to you....let's say you are being attacked/shot at ...would it really matter ???? Bear in mind the weather conditions here...heat index with humidity well over 100f during the long summer mths.

Wouldn't bother me but thems the rules in the UK anyway, (my ex looked into joining after leaving the forces).

If the military can wear tattos I don't see why the police shouldn't be allowed.

Personally it matters not to me, if someone is going to help me or save my life in any way shape or form I do not see how a tattoo would make any difference to the way they do so.
At the end of the day I would say that it shows that they too are only human.
