Hi,
I have applied for AOS based on K- 1 visa with Chicago INS office in March 2001. I have never received a receipt notice or any other notice from them but I have copies of the money orders that they cashed. We don`t know when my AOS interview will be and can`t get any information from them( we have tried alot). We are really in bad position because my husband is going to be sent from his University to Russia for a year and I am going with him.So,
My first question is what is going to happen with my AOS case after leaving the country .
My second question is how whould I be able to come back to the USA? Russia in not my native country.
My third question is since there is still a little bit of a time till we leave, isn`t it better to transfer our case to the state where my husband`s parents leave and whose addresss would be the only one we will stoill have in America, while being overseas. I know these are too many questions to ask and that we might to have to turn to an attorny but any information is really helpful.
Thank you.
